With Micro Puzzle Poker, Microforum combined some elements of world famous Tetris with the rules of Poker, creating a puzzle game which can be easily understood (almost everyone knows the possible card combinations in poker), but which requires a good deal of concentration to be mastered.
The dynamics of the game are simple: two cards at a time descend from the top and you can move them to the left or to the right, rotate them clockwise or anti-clockwise or make them fall more rapidly. The rotation allows you to position the two cards horizontally or vertically and in the desired order. The combinations which allow you to eliminate cards from the screen are three of a kind, flush and poker.
The combinations count differently and the cards can be put down horizontally, vertically or at an angle.
During the game "waterfall" combinations are possible as the elimination of a combination and the new order that follows, give birth to new combinations; this situation is called "combo", is valued more and is one of the goals of the trick mode. Together with the royal flush, it's the most difficult combination to obtain.
In the normal mode, the speed increases gradually and the player can choose Level from the option menu, to determine the initial speed of the falling of the cards, while in trick mode, the program keeps an average speed throughout the game. |
