Scenario
The game field is crowded with little magnets: use your special magnet to take them out one by one, but be careful: you must prevent them from sticking together!
Game Play
“Magnets” is a puzzle game based on the attractive-repulsive dynamics of magnets. The aim of the game is to take out all the little magnets placed on the game field, while preventing them from sticking together, within a fixed maximum time.
Initially, the player chooses a magnet (target magnet) to be taken out by means of a special magnet (leader magnet). He can use the leader magnet either to repulse or to attract the target magnet and the other magnets, possibly sticking with them, but other magnets must not stick together. If this happens, the just previous situation is restored, but a certain amount of time is consumed. When a magnet has been taken out, the player chooses another target magnet, and so on. Target magnets can be chosen amongst the ones of the current valid colour, stated by the CPU, and shown on the top-left corner of the screen. When one or more magnets are stuck with the leader one, the player can detach them with a specific key, after which he has a few seconds to move to a new position. The leader magnet can also be turned around its positive pole, together with possible attached magnets.
On all suitable devices, “Magnets” provides a turn-based Bluetooth multiplayer mode. One player at a time moves the shared leader magnet, while the other players watch the situation on their device. If two or more magnets stick together, the turn changes. The player wins who achieves the highest score.
